Overview

This outline starts and finishes in Addis Ababa over 12 days. Overnight locations, daily travel times and any walking demands are not yet confirmed; the day-by-day itinerary below shows the proposed sequence.

Day-by-day itinerary

A proposed sequence for discussion. Daily access, services and travel arrangements need confirmation.

Day 1

Capital introduction

Begin in Addis Ababa with museums, markets or neighbourhood visits chosen around your arrival. Allow time to settle in before the northern journey begins.

Day 2

Lake Tana and Bahir Dar

Bahir Dar provides the base for Lake Tana and the Blue Nile Falls area. Lake access, monastery visiting and the extent of the day's programme need a current local plan.
